Let us explain how matcha can matcha benefit your inner and outer beauty!

Matcha: the (not so) new health trend you may have seen splashed across your social feed, or the new addition to your corner shop menu. Matcha is the hot topic in the health and beauty world and has started pushing its way to the mainstream. We’re so happy to say that this is no fad with an expiration date! Matcha has been around for centuries and exudes loads of health and wellbeing benefits!

Matcha is a finely ground powder made from green tea leaves. The shaded conditions load the plant up with theanine (calming amino acid) and caffeine. The unique combination of the two are the ones to thank for the calming yet energetic sensation you may feel when consuming it. It is for this reason that many people are starting to opt for Matcha over a coffee as it eliminates the shakes and other bad stuff you get when drinking too much coffee. Traditionally celebrated in tea ceremonies in Japan and China by the Zen Buddhists as an excuse to relax, focus and celebrate life's simple things, it is now commonly known for the health and wellbeing benefits, and modern society is dipping its toes into Matcha anyway it can!

Matcha is rich in antioxidants called polyphenols and EGCG, which research has linked to the protection and against heart disease, inflammation, blood sugar regulation, blood pressure reduction, and even boosting metabolism and prolonging the signs of anti-ageing.  The even better part is, as you would consume the actual leaf as opposed to the watered down teabag version of a normal green tea, you will be reaping the highest possible rewards and benefits of this historical tea! Not to mention it’s actually super tasty! Matcha has 137 times more antioxidants than green tea!

Here are some ways you can use Matcha topically and internally to boost your glow from the inside out.
